WATERCOLOUR WORSHOP DATESSome watercolour workshop dates for the next few months
We’ll be investigating various ways of using watercolour, mixing it with other mediums such as crayon, watercolour sticks, ink, wax and collage.
In the three hour weekly slot we can take a more thorough and leisurely approach to investigating the various ways of using watercolour, mixing it with other mediums, and gradually developing your own unique voice, becoming more expressive. I'll be doing regular demonstrations
You will be encouraged to loosen up and take some risks, draw with the paintbrush more than the pencil, accept failures as part of the process, and rejoice in any and all successes!
Email me to book
I'll introduce you to the various materials and equipment, and we'll start with a series of exercises, using very simple set-ups and a limited palette, and move on to a simple composition. I'll be demonstrating thoughout the day.
We’ll be working from life, and photographs.

In the Experimental workshops we will be adding other processes and media, tackling monoprinting with gouache, working back into the results with watercolour and watercolour sticks and pencils, oil resist, and anything else you would like to use.
These tend to get booked fairly quickly so let me know if you can make one of them! They are all from 10 till 3.30 and cost
I will be running regular Saturday workshops for those of you who would like a push start being creative with your ipad! We will focus on two apps, Brushes3 and Procreate. You'll learn the various tools, how to pick colours and build your own palette and how layers work. The ipad is a fantastic mobile sketchbook, can be used quickly and spontaneously while out and about, lots of colour and no mess or quantities of equipment. It is real magic and huge fun, so come and play!
